Dr. Marn is a physician anesthesiologist specializing in office-based anesthesia for children undergoing dental treatment. He brings a unique combination of board certification in both anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology, more than 20 years of pediatric anesthesia experience, and extensive experience caring for children with complex medical and behavioral needs.
During your child’s dental treatment, Dr. Marn’s primary responsibility is your child’s anesthesia and well-being. His care extends beyond administering medications. He uses a deliberate, systems-based approach that includes careful patient evaluation, individualized planning, continuous monitoring, close coordination with the dental team, structured recovery, and emergency readiness. The goal is to make each child’s experience as smooth, predictable, and safe as possible.
Dr. Marn completed his anesthesiology residency at NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital, and his pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He later served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital for 11 years, where he co-founded and led the Division of Radiologic Anesthesiology.
Since 2016, Dr. Marn has focused on providing anesthesia in pediatric dental and oral-surgery offices. He also lectures nationally on office-based sedation systems, team preparation, and sedation emergency readiness. He openly welcomes parents’ questions and wants every family to understand what to expect before, during, and after their child’s procedure.
